In Guinea, only 26.2% of its populations has access to electricity. This low number is due to the lack of natural gases within its country. Therefore the people must rely on the little hydroelectric and thermal power the country has with it’s few imports of petroleum and natural gas everyday. Due to the low amounts of energy the average “work” day is mainly dependant on the natural day and light cycles. Not only does this affect how the people work, but it also affects their study habits and schooling. With no light during the night, it’s hard to get any formal education due to the fact you’re constrained when you want to study on your own. Our product at Solar Evo will not only affect the electricity rates, but it will also increase the low literacy rates in the country.
